Employer’s Agent

An Employer’s Agent is required by certain JCT forms of contact to administer the contract on behalf of the Employer, specifically, design build Forms of Contract.

After 20 years working as a contractor’s design manager Michael Cox has unrivalled experience in understanding the workings of design build Forms of Contract including the advantages and the pitfalls, and can now offer this experience to Employers wishing to appoint an Agent.

With Michael’s background of heavy civil engineering, consultancy, design management and project management he is ideally suited to fulfilling this role. Michael has also had extensive training in contract law and contract administration.

If appointed in the multiple roles of Employer’s Agent, Project Manager, CDM Co-ordinator and BREEAM Assessor the Employer benefits from reduced fees and management control at the centre of his project.
